The Race of truth is getting interesting…..

A few are starting to be found out,as some of the newer test machines are honing their talents and learning the tricks of the trade. El President James Skeehan took another step forward last night with a cracking time, after taking some well earned time off time keeping duties, along with Super Kitten Andree Walkin who we believe was not far off the old course record ( new course record being broken by _________ from one of the Army TT events on the same course)

The new breed of cycling animals in training from Club rothaiouchta are starting to claw their way up the leader board, it is going to go down to the wire over the final weeks.

Week 10 will see a repeat of the Eddy Merckx night and week 15 our last night will see a 2 person team event. This will be done randomly and you will be required to stay together or all points will be null and void :)

The great one, or the “cannibal” as he was reffered to by writers of his generation. Eddy Merckx could win in any terrain over any distance and in any type of weather.

The belgian’s spirit must have heard that Shannon Club, Club Rothaiochta  were paying homage to him and his class by comparing training times over the same course using different bikes and sent on the rain.

The times for those athletes going from tt bike to road bike last night show a vast difference, if you are a cyclist it is important to practice these sort of efforts on your road bike also. To help make the break, stay in the break or attack the break :)

There were perfect PB conditions on the Newmarket road last night for week 4 of the Club-Rothaíochta Na-Sionainna TT Series 2012.

With a very calm breeze most riders put the foot down and pedalled their way to a new PB!!!

There was a small mix up with marshals last night (or lack there of)….. We would ask people who will be available to marshal to e-mail or send a facebook message to Club Rothaíochta na Sionainna a few days before the TT so we can ensure the correct amount of marshals are in place for a safe and enjoyable TT!!!

The results from week 4 - Week4

With a full league table here - TTResults_2012_Week_4

Next week will be an Eddie Merckx night…. So no TT bikes, aerowheels or TT helmets allowed.

Sign on from 6.45 next Thursday in Wells Church Car Park, Old Newmarket Road.

Photos from last night can be found from two local photographers on their flickr sites.

Taking time to assess your racing performances will lead to even bigger gains in the next race.

Write me a review on all the sections of Joey or any race you did over the weekend, after writing it leave it for a day and look back over it and think about your answers in comparison with your current training levels and work/life balance
